What our adult swimmers say
I would highly recommend Icaro and Emre to any parent looking for skilled and reliable instructors.
Next level. Honestly he’s incredible.
He has the most amazing way with children and knows exactly how to help them excel and tailored to each individual. His art of connection and playfulness makes my 4 year old look forward to his classes each time! At the beginning he always ensured comfort and understanding so my baby swam with me until trust was built. Now after several years Icaro is his absolute favourite teacher and he loves swimming so so much because of the unique teaching skills and fun coach Icaro provides each time. And a bonus now is that we see excellent results. Forever grateful for coach Icaro and is outstanding teaching skills!! Can’t wait for all my children to learn from him!
I absolutely love this swimming academy! Marcelo is an outstanding tutor – patient, encouraging, and brilliant at breaking down techniques so every child can grasp the ideas. He makes every lesson feel personal and fun.
Anna is also excellent! She’s always ready to help, cheering everyone on and offering extra support whenever needed.
Highly recommend for parents who want to instil the lifelong skill of swimming in their babies ! ????????♂️
Marcelo is a brilliant swimming teacher, with lots of patience and is great with the kids in general. The boys have a great bond with him too.
We started babyswim lessons a few months ago when my daughter was 10 weeks old and she immediately loved them. Our teacher, Alessandro, is amazing with babies, he is so patient and connects very well with them. The classes are well structured, safe and very enjoyable for both babies and parents!
As a mom I also appreciate that the changing area is very well adapted for babies, with plenty of space, changing mats, bouncers… and always super clean thanks to Anna who is always helpful and welcoming!
The staff are nice and the teachers (mine is philipe) are very helpful.
FAQs
Do you accept adult beginners?
We welcome adults of all abilities- from complete beginners to more experienced swimmers.
I never learned to swim – is it too late?
What if I'm a little nervous or lack confidence in the water?
That’s not a problem! Our instructors are experienced with nervous or first-time adult swimmers, and we prioritise safety, patience, and building confidence in water. We never judge – let the team know how you’re feeling when you book, and at any point during your swimming lessons.
Who are the adult swim lessons suitable for?
Anyone – we cater for all adult (16+) swimming needs, from first-time learners to open-water swimmers and triathletes refining technique and endurance.
How many people are in the small group class?
Group sizes are kept deliberately small at just 4:1 to offer a better learning experience.
If you prefer, 1:1 private lessons can be arranged, subject to availability.
How quickly can I expect to progress with my swimming?
Progress depends on several factors- starting levels, consistency, and practice outside class. But we design our programme to build confidence and technique “stroke by stroke.”
What age qualifies as 'adult'?
Our adult lessons are open to anyone aged 16 and above.
Will I be taught by qualified swim instructors experienced with adult learners?
Yes, our adult lessons are led by experienced instructors with adult coaching experience, who understand how adults learn.
How do I book, and what happens after booking?
You can book via our website or by phone. After booking, you’ll receive confirmation and have access to our client portal for feedback, scheduling, and progress tracking.
What if I can't make or miss a session?
We appreciate that adults need flexibility – that’s why we offer blocks of 5 or 10 sessions in addition to our monthly membership.
If you can’t make your lesson, contact the team 24 hours before the lesson starts and we can discuss a makeup session depending on availability. Refunds are not possible. Lessons cancelled within 24 hours of your lesson start time will be forfeited.
Can I book a one-off session?
You can book a trial session with us. However to see real progress with your swimming we recommend a minimum of 5 sessions.
We offer monthly memberships, or flexible bookings in blocks of 5 (use within 3 months) and 10 (use within 6 months) sessions.
How warm is the pool?
Our pools are heated to 31°C, giving a warm and comfortable environment in which to learn – or feel relief if you suffer with musculoskeletal challenges.
What should I bring?
Bring appropriate swimwear, goggles (if you prefer), and a towel. If you have specific needs (ear plugs, etc.), feel free to bring them and we’ll advise.
Your pools are only 1.2M deep - is this deep enough for learning to swim and stroke development?
Absolutely! We have taught hundreds of adults to learn to swim and this is the same depth as most gym swimming pools. It’s a great depth for a learning environment that allows us to tailor a wide range of drills and allows us to effect good teaching practices both in and out of the swimming pool.
