My three kids had lesson with Icaro since they were little a. Icaro has been great teaching them great technique and keeping up their enthusiasm for the swimming. We followed him wherever he went as they didn’t want to swim with anyone else but him. Could not be happier for them to have him as a teacher.

His art of connection and playfulness makes my 4 year old look forward to his classes each time! At the beginning he always ensured comfort and understanding so my baby swam with me until trust was built. Now after several years Icaro is his absolute favourite teacher and he loves swimming so so much because of the unique teaching skills and fun coach Icaro provides each time. And a bonus now is that we see excellent results. Forever grateful for coach Icaro and is outstanding teaching skills!! Can’t wait for all my children to learn from him!

Icaro Del Mar is an excellent swim coach. He thought both my boys from the age of 3. They are 6&8 now. The 8 year old is currently swimming on his schools swim team and doing very well in all of the competitions. Icaro is very patient, fun but also firm when he needs to be. I could not recommend him more highly.
Marcello and Icaro are absolutely fantastic swimming trainers! My kids adore them since starting lessons. They’re patient, friendly, and truly know how to motivate children while keeping the sessions fun and engaging. Their teaching style builds confidence as well as skill, and the improvement has been remarkable!

My daughter has been going to GetSetGo Putney since she was 4 months old. She now loves the water and swim lessons are the highlight of her week. Her teacher, Marcelo, is fantastic with her and all of the children. He is so kind and patient with them, and his lessons always provide a good balance of learning about water safety and fun. The facilities in Putney are great; plenty of space to shower and change, clean and warm.

Oscar and Spencer started swimming lessons with Marcelo in August 2025 and have gained confidence in such a short space of time.

We absolutely love coming to getsetgo for my little ones swimming lessons. He’s been swimming here for a few years now. The instructor marchello somehow manages to keep the sessions fun & exciting for the children every week, which is pretty impressive! He is great with children, they are all very fond of him and love learning from him. Marchello also makes an effort to chat with all the parents/carers.

Shenay is probably one of the best swim coaches in the UK. She has a warm, patient approach that makes my 4-year-old feel safe and confident in the water, while still focusing on strong technical fundamentals. Our main goal was to help her be able to survive independently in the pool, and we’re already seeing real progress. Highly recommended! I do wish the pool had reliable parking at the door but I guess you can't have everything!

We're just a short walk from East Putney / Putney stations and well-served by local buses, if you want to avoid having to park on busier days.

My daughter absolutely loves her swim lessons here! Her teacher, Marcel, is fantastic — always friendly, caring, and great with the kids. His lessons are so well structured that the 30 minutes fly by. The facilities are amazing and the staff are always welcoming. I’ve recommended this swim school to several friends already. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Great babyswim experience!
We started babyswim lessons a few months ago when my daughter was 10 weeks old and she immediately loved them. Our teacher, Alessandro, is amazing with babies, he is so patient and connects very well with them. The classes are well structured, safe and very enjoyable for both babies and parents!
As a mom I also appreciate that the changing area is very well adapted for babies, with plenty of space, changing mats, bouncers… and always super clean thanks to Anna who is always helpful and welcoming!

Coach Felipe at GetSetGo is awesome! My 9 year old loves to work with him. He is skilled, patient, works at my son's pace, and makes the swim session a fun experience!
Always a fantastic experience for all ages! All of the teachers have a wealth of experience and oodles of patience. Special shout out to Filipe for taking lessons with both of my girls this week!
We booked a 4 day crash course and it’s been great. The instructor, Philippe, was really knowledgeable, patient, and helped to boost confidence during each session!
Ralph was adept at helping our nervous child settle into their lesson - encouraging and fun, never pushy. He clearly has a very thorough knowledge of the core skills but it's really his ability to make the learning fun that makes him exceptional. Not only have they made fantastic progress but it's the highlight of their week! Another appreciation post for Anna too - she makes the post-swim juggle that little bit easier and her warm welcome has cheered me on many times.
Felipe is brilliant and I’m very grateful that he’s teaching my daughter. My 8yo daughter says that: ‘he never gives up on his students’, ‘he’s fun and kind’ and ‘he doesn’t care about getting his head wet!’ (Rather than just telling the kids what to do, he actually demonstrates the techniques to them in the water). She adds that ‘he is very descriptive’ (good at explaining and instructing). She always looks forward to her lessons. Thanks Felipe!

I just want to take a moment to appreciate the amazing lady who keeps GetSetGo so clean and welcoming! Not only does she do a fantastic job maintaining the place spotless, but she also goes above and beyond to help moms and little ones in every way she can. She’s always cheerful, reminding busy parents to take their belongings (which is so easy to forget when handling little ones!), and if something is left behind, she keeps it safe and somehow always remembers exactly who it belongs to! Her kindness, dedication, and warm smile have been a constant since the place opened years ago, and it truly makes a difference. Thank you for all that you do! 🙂

We’re really pleased with the excellent progress our 7-month old has made in her swimming lessons. Huge thanks to Marcelo especially and also the team at Get Set Go. Our baby is happy in the water & relaxed with a good amount of submerging. She readily reaches for the side of the pool. Marcelo has engaged & taught her in such a way that she is very good at kicking. Thank you.
Felipe is a brilliant instructor! I can’t believe the progress our son made in 4 lessons and doing the backstroke already. He is calm and instills confidence in our son and a massive sense of achievement. He truly makes him feel calm and comfortable in the water, encouraging but in a calm comfortable manner. Our kids have been swimming with Get Set Go since their opening after COVID, and we've been consistently impressed with the quality of teaching. Every instructor we've had has been friendly, professional, and great with the kids. Recently, our daughter switched to Felipe, and he’s been fantastic – she loves her lessons and always has fun. Our son also enjoys his sessions just as much. Special mention to Ashton, Theo, Emre and Beth, who are both brilliant teachers too. We couldn’t be happier with the experience!
GetSetGo is amazing. Hands down the best place to take your baby, toddler or child for swimming lessons. The team are friendly and professional and all three of my children love their weekly seesions! It’s kept immaculately clean as well with great facilities. It’s so much better than where we used to go in London. Thanks to GetSetGo my twins can swim unaided at just three and our 18 month old is also a water baby. Swimming is really important to me as a swimmer and I only have positive things to say about GetSetGo. It’s also right by Putney Station and East Putney Underground and there is ample parking nearby so we find it a really convenient place to get to. Thank you everyone at GetSetGo!
